It feels very much like Christmas at Damers this past week! We have been enjoying Christmas Jumper Day today and there has been lots of sparkle in the classroom in aid of Save the Children.
We have also had a busy week rehearsing our version of A Modern Christmas Carol which we we able to perform and film yesterday morning. We are really proud of the children who have worked hard to learn their lines, songs and dance and even helping each other with their parts along the way. Thank you adults at home for your help with this too! The children loved having the opportunity to perform on the stage under the lights and really showed us what super actors they are. We can’t wait for you to see the film when it is released! Here is a VIP access preview photo from our rehearsals earlier in the week…
Amongst rehearsals we have continued practicing ball skills in PE and singing Christmas songs in music. We’ve been learning how to use sign language for the song ‘Jingle Bells’ which Mr Baker and Miss Gold have helped us to learn.
In maths we have been continuing to look at the 2, 5 and 10 times tables, showing different ways of representing an equation. You might like to have a look at this together at home or have a go at using TT Rockstars to reinforce our learning of the 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
I am looking forward to sharing our Christmas Carol film soon, hope you all have a wonderful weekend, hopefully the weather stays bright! Miss Mansell
The rehearsals look like they went well and we can’t wait to see the film. Thanks so much for everything you put into it Miss Mansell and Miss Gold 🙂
We can’t wait to see it and share it with you! Thank you for your kind words, have a lovely Christmas break.
