We have had a great week enjoying the sunshine and getting to know our new year 3 teacher.Â
Yesterday, we visited our new classroom and spent some time getting to know our new teacher Mr Oram. We had a great time finding out about year 3. We will be spending some time in the next couple of weeks talking about getting ready for year 3 and how we might be feeling about this.Â

The day before the Village Show, please send all entries into school with a named label, the child’s class and the group entered on Wednesday 13th July.Â
Children can enter as many groups as they like. We are looking forward to seeing all the children’s entries! Thank you in advance for helping make this a successful and memorable event. If you have any questions, please ask. Adult Entries: Please feel free to enter any of the above groups too.
For allergy purposes, please can all food products come with a list of ingredients on the packing.
Please avoid use of any nuts in your ingredients as we will not be able to take these.
Hardy’s Cottage Trip- Friday 15th July.
Next Friday is our class school trip to Hardy’s Cottage in Thorncombe Woods. Children need to wear school uniform and suitable shoes for indoor and outdoor use, such as trainers. The children will take part in a poetry walk, garden trail and a craft demonstration* which may differ depending on the day but could be card making, making crystallised flowers or textiles.
*This trip is being run by volunteers at the cottage/woods this year and as such each day may have slight changes to the activities depending on the skills/availability of the volunteers.
The weather forecast shows sunny, warm weather. However, please prepare for our changeable summer time: waterproof coats and sun-hats / sunscreen should be brought too depending on the forecast! Thank you in advance for your support with this.
I am really looking forward to our week ahead, have a lovely weekend and see you on Monday! Miss Mansell
