Good afternoon everyone. We have had an action packed week of learning!

We have started looking at the diversity of buildings and landmarks across the globe and we really enjoyed learning about the Taj Mahal and India, even finding out that it took nearly 20 years to build!

We’re really enjoying our music lessons with Mr Baker. We learnt about body percussion and listened to some of the classic, ‘We Will Rock You’ by Queen. We have also been learning some other songs throughout the week in class which we have been singing in the mornings to welcome everyone into class, you can share this song at home too: https://vimeo.com/508398322

In Maths we have been using base 10 to show and partition numbers into tens and ones and we have also been comparing numbers using the equals, more than and less than symbols and finding out about Blockzilla, who has been helping us to identify the greatest and smallest numbers. (Adults, please check the video/ link first as there may be external comments or enabled links to other videos/ adverts etc.) https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0blsqtz/numberblocks-series-3-blockzilla

Blockzilla has been helping us to identify the greatest and smallest numbers.

Finally, in our Literacy learning we have started the book Here We Are and exploring the diversity and brilliance of our world. We have started thinking about verbs and adjectives to add description to our writing, using the book to help us. We will be creating some amazing art work soon to accompany our writing which we can’t wait to share with you.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, see you next week! Miss Mansell
