December is here and the sound of Christmas is in the air!

We have been having a wonderful time learning our lines, dancing and singing our way towards our own rendition of ‘A Modern Christmas Carol’. So many children have come in with beaming smiles saying they’ve been learning their lines and songs at home – thank you! Our favourite is ’12 Days of Christmas’, it has been a lot of fun trying to remember all the actions! You can listen and practice here (adults, please check the video for any external links). We can’t wait to put it all together and share it with you! A letter has gone home with your child about simple home clothing/ outfits we hope the children can wear for their performance. Please let us know if you need a copy or have any questions.

Grayling’s performance will be filmed next Thursday 9th December, so please ensure your child is wearing their outfit that day and any extra parts of the costume (for example a hat or scarf etc.) can be brought in a separate bag.

During our Maths learning, we’ve continued practising our times tables this week and we’ve started to explore how multiplication can be done in different ways using arrays representations and STEM sentences to help us solve equations. For example: there are 3 groups of 5 roses, so 3 x 5 = 15.

On Tuesday, was Sustrans’ ‘Bling your Bike’ parade, our blinged bikes and scooters looked amazing! The children enjoyed taking part and showing off their Christmas themed transport!

Finally, please make sure you’re getting messages coming from Parent Mail/the school office. We appreciate several messages were coming your way this past week. If you’ve not been getting ParentMail messages, please contact the school office as soon as possible to check your details are correct on the system.

Hope you have a lovely weekend, looking forward to seeing you all on Monday! Miss Mansell
