We enjoyed drumming and learning the beat in one of our literacy and music lessons. We created a class poem based on the book we have been reading (When the Mountains Roared).

We’ve been exploring the properties of gas in science, learning that gas can be compressed:

We enjoyed looking at whether gas could move an object such as a toy car. You might like to make your own version at home (adults, please check the link first for any videos/comments/adverts that may be different at home to the ones used in school and support children with any sharp objects, such as scissors) https://www.sciencebuddies.org/stem-activities/balloon-car

In art we have been looking closely at popular patterns and symbols from Indian printing designs such as the lotus flower and paisley leaf. The children have been sketching their own designs.

We started writing a scary story, inspired by our class literacy book. We learnt about adding suspense and tension using different techniques.
